About OCH Editorial

Old Cloth Hall, Biddenden, home of OCH Editorial

The Old Cloth Hall, c.1920

Drawing on four decades of experience in professional publishing, Christopher Long set up OCH Editorial as a corporate framework for the provision of bespoke project management and editorial services. OCH’s clients are organisations and businesses wishing or needing to publish reports, books, journals, publicity material, manuals and on-line information.

Now based in the village of Pluckley, OCH Editorial was originally established at (and named after) Old Cloth Hall in Biddenden, a Kent village described in Pevsner’s Buildings of England as having a street that is ‘very short and very perfect’. Old Cloth Hall, also mentioned by Pevsner, is a Grade 1 listed building, built in 1668. The timber-framed structure was at one time occupied by clothworkers as workshops.
